Portuguese pavements
The "calçada portuguesa" (Portuguese pavement) is something you will see everywhere in Portugal.
It is made of limestone and basalt and the patterns can vary from the very simple and geometric to the highly elaborate.

"Amor Português" (A Portuguese Love)
This handicraft and gourmet store is called 'Amor Português'. It is in Rua do Bonjardim, across the street from the restaurant where the 'francesinha' sandwich was invented.
I asked Marta, one of the owners, to pose barefoot for me, which she very graciously did. Thank you, Marta.
